Please deliver your clean, good quality second hand uniform items to the school office with this form. When your item sells, 90% of the value will be credited to your school account, with 10%b retained by the College.
A reminder of the process for taking a child off the school grounds.
If a student is going to be away from school, or needs to leave the school grounds, a message can be left on the Absence Line 24 hours a day (07 543 2400 Extension 1). This is cleared each morning by the Attendance Officer. Please leave your child’s name, year level and a brief reason for the absence.
If your child is going to be away for 3 days or more please email or write to the Principal, Mr. Matt Dalton. This is a Ministry of Education requirement.
If a student is leaving the school during the day please provide a note which can be shown to the teacher and given to the office when the child signs out.
If the student is to leave with another parent please provide written or verbal consent.
Gateway is a structured, work-based learning programme that gives students a taste of ‘the real world’ of work. Gateway works with schools linking students, businesses, Industry Training Organisations and employers.
At Aquinas College 44 students have successfully completed the Gateway Programme this year. We are now accepting applications for students who want to join this programme in 2018. Students please see Mrs Consedine or Mrs Boniface for application forms or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
If accepted into the programme, students attend a two-day Health and Safety course where they gain 14 credits at Level 3. While students are not to be paid while on placement, there are many benefits of taking part including gaining insights into the industry, setting clear career goals and build contacts in target industries.
If you are in an industry that is able to help provide work experience opportunities for our students please contact either Wendy Consedine or Desiree Boniface.
