Terms: 1 and 4

About the sport:

Aquinas College has the opportunity to develop the sport of golf at both the Intermediate and Secondary School levels.  We have recently competed in a WBOP Secondary Schools Competition, plus had students playing golf in the Year 7 & 8 NZAIMS golf competition.

Selections:

Trials will be held for a golf team (if we have the interest), and we will link with a local golf club to organise practice times.

• BOP Golf Pennants (Yr 9-13), Monday 20th, 27th February, 5th, 12th, 19th March 2012
• BOP Primary and Intermediate Golf Champs (Year 7/8) Tuesday 13th March 2012
• WBOP Golf Ambrose Have-A -Go Day (Year 7/8) Monday 19th March 2012
• BOP Golf Pennants Finals (Yr 9-13) Monday 2nd April 2012
• BOP Intercollegiate Golf Champs (Yr 9-13) Tuesday3rd April 2012
• Foursomes Tournament (Yr 9-13) Friday 11th May 2012
• Manihra Memorial Tournament (Year 9-13) Tuesday 22nd May 2012
• Eagles Golf Tournament (Yr 9-13) Monday 6th August 2012
• Golf Ambrose Fun Day - Tauranga Region (Yr 7/8) Monday 29th October 2012

Uniform:  

• Aquinas College PE Shorts or navy tracksuit pants
• Aquinas College Polo Shirt
• Appropriate footwear
• Aquinas College Tracksuit (optional)

Equipment:  

Some events provide clubs however if you have your own golf clubs this will be preferred.

Cost:   

All costs will be the responsibility of the students involved including transport
