About the Sport: Cricket is played at Aquinas College with Year 7 & 8’s playing in an Intermediate Competition and the Secondary Schools teams playing in a WBOP Secondary Schools Competition. Aquinas Cricket is an established club which is run by a committee of parents and staff.
Selections: Dependant on numbers trials will be held for all cricket teams.
Practices/ Trainings: Lunchtime or after school practices.
Competition: Starts in February (Term 1) and re-commences in October (Term 4).
All games are held on a Saturday (unless otherwise advised)
Year 7/8 team plays in the Milo Cup Competition.
Ist XI plays in the Gillette Cup Competition when suitable
Uniform:
- 1st XI Boys & Girls: White long trousers, Aquinas College White Polo Shirt (supplied), Aquinas College Cap, Appropriate footwear, Aquinas College Tracksuit (optional)
- 2nd XI, Juniors & Intermediate: White long trousers, Aquinas College Polo shirt,Aquinas College Cap, Appropriate footwear, Aquinas College Tracksuit (optional)
Equipment: School provide basic equipment however we do not provide bats. We encourage students to build up their own personal protective gear.
Cost: The following fees will be for each term - Term 1 and 4 2012
- 1st XI $80.00 per term
- 2nd XI, Juniors, Girls $65.00 per term
- Intermediate $50.00 per term
Players will be required to pay the fee for the ‘main’ team they are registered to play in for the majority of the current term.
