In 2008 the competition was held at Aquinas College for the first time and highlights were the welcoming powhiri, the drama competition, the hospitality, and the closeness of the competition. Sacred Heart Girls edged out Campion to win by 2 points.
In 2007 We were warmly welcomed on our arrival at Sacred Heart. Our team was a real delight full of enthusiasm and the joy was clearly evident for all to see. The true Aquinas spirit was evident for all to see
Our greatest excitement came on the Friday evening with Luke Egan winning of the Maori Perspective Speech. His performance was outstanding and this fuelled further our high hopes of achieving highly in this fiercely competitive few days!.
In 2008 it was the turn of John Paul College in Rotorua to do the hosting.
We had high hopes in a number of areas this year especially in the Drama with our outstanding team of stars.
Our greatest success this year came from Caitlin Kengmana’s win in the Senior Poetry Reading seen in the picture. We are looking forward to 2009 hosted By St John’s College in Hamilton.
