About the Sport: Aquinas College are an established Football Club made up of staff, parents and enthusiastic volunteers running football under the Aquinas banner. We have 10 teams playing in either the Western BOP Junior Football competition, or with the Boys 1st & 2nd XI teams playing in the Baywide Youth leagues.

REGISTRATION FORMS DUE TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE ON TUESDAY 28th FEBRUARY 2012. NO FORM AND FEE – NO TRIAL

 

Selections: Registration and trials will be held for all teams during Term 1.

Practices/ Trainings:  Before or after school trainings. Premier teams twice a week.

Competition:  Starts early term two until the end of term three.

  • Year 7 & 8 boys and girls may compete in the NZAIMS games.
  • 1st XI players are all expected to be available for winter tournament week.
  • BOP Inter-school Indoor Football (Year 7/8)    Tues 5th June 2012
  • BOP Indoor Football (Jnr/Snr)    Thurs 31st June 2012
  • Football Girls Champs (Premier)    Tues 24th July 2012
  • Football Boys Champs (Premier)    Thurs 26th July 2012

Uniform:

  • 1st XI and 2nd XI Boys and Girls and 14/15th grade premier Boys wear Aquinas football strips consisting of Shirts and Shorts.
  • All other teams are issued with Aquinas playing Shirts and some teams will be required to wear Aquinas PE Shorts.
  • Socks - Aquinas Sports Socks (navy blue with yellow and green stripes round the top, available from Greerton Menswear
  • Aquinas College Tracksuit (optional purchased by player)
  • Items will be distributed by the Sports Co-ordinator prior to their first match.  Students must ensure they return their     ‘specific’ allocated item/s to the Sports Co-ordinator within a week of their final match.

Equipment:    Own soccer boots, Own shin pads (compulsory)

Cost:    Pre-registration fee (non-refundable)    $30.00
To be placed in a team, this fee is to be paid either by eftpos/cheque or cash prior to trials and/or the announcement of teams.  Note: This means the fee will not be charged to a student account.
In addition to the Pre-registration fee, fees for the season  will be approximately $60.00.
1st & 2nd XI boys, along with 1st XI girls will be expected to pay an additional amount of $70 - $100.00 to cover referee, travel and tournament costs.
